It's Show Time!

Dear Friends,

As some of you know, my sister Joanna and I have recently created this website in honor of one of our favorite bands, the Lost Dogs. I know that many of you are already fans of this great band, which is made up of musicians from other great bands, namely, Terry Taylor from Daniel Amos, Mike Roe from the 77s, and Derry Daugherty from The Choir. All of these guys are pioneers of Christian rock, and their influence on the genre as a whole has been tremendous.

At any rate, we decided that since the Lost Dogs are touring this spring, we thought it was high time they came to Texas. We contacted their booking agent and discovered that they are in fact playing in Dallas on March 16th. However, that concert is pretty late (11 PM) and it is at an over-21 venue, which means that families are pretty much out of the question. So, we have asked them to do an acoustic show earlier in the day, so that families and youth groups and us old- fogies-who-can't-stay-out-past-10 could come. And they agreed.

So, first of all, this is a personal invitation to all of you who would like to come to the show. It will be in Fort Worth, 4-6 PM, on March 16th. Admission is free, and anyone is welcome, so feel free to bring family and friends! The concert will be at Trinity Baptist Church Activity Center (across the street from the church), 620 Churchill Rd, Fort Worth, TX. Like we said before, it will be an acoustic show, and they play a wide variety of styles, so there should be something for everyone. We hope to see you all there!

Secondly, it was important to us to have this show be free to the public. However, we are both poor, so it is a big investment on our part, although it is one that we think is worth it. We would like to ask for your help in putting together this show. If you think that you could help us financially, in any amount, either because you love the Lost Dogs or because you love us, we would be very, very grateful. I know that this is a lot to ask, and since I know many of you are poor like us, don't worry if you have to say no. But if you can support us, please email Jemima Ingle at zingle@texasinternet.com, or give me a call at 254.756.7441.

I would love to hear from all of you in any case. If you know of anyone who would be interested in coming to the show, please forward this page to them. We hope to see all of you there!

Blessings,
Jemima and Joanna
